What Is Inluriyo Used For?

Inluriyo (imlunestrant) is an oral estrogen receptor (ER) antagonist that delivers continuous ER inhibition, including in cancers with ESR1 mutations that commonly drive resistance to earlier hormone therapy. It is indicated for the treatment of adults with:

  • Estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, HER2-negative, ESR1-mutated advanced or metastatic breast cancer
  • Disease progression following at least one line of endocrine therapy

It is a prescription oncology medicine and must be used under the supervision of a qualified oncologist, typically after ESR1 mutation testing confirms eligibility.

Recommended Dosage

  • 400 mg (two 200 mg tablets) taken orally once daily
  • Taken on an empty stomach — at least 2 hours before food, or 1 hour after eating
  • Tablets must be swallowed whole; do not split, crush, or chew
  • Continued until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity

This information is not a treatment plan. For personalized medical advice, consult your doctor and refer to the full prescribing information.

Inluriyo Warnings and Precautions

  • Embryo-fetal toxicity: Inluriyo can cause fetal harm if taken during pregnancy. Patients of reproductive potential should use effective contraception during treatment and for 1 week after the last dose.
  • Hepatic impairment: Dose reduction is required for patients with moderate or severe liver impairment; liver enzymes should be monitored as clinically indicated.
  • Drug interactions: Strong CYP3A inhibitors and inducers can affect Inluriyo levels and may require dosage adjustment — inform your doctor of all medicines you are taking.
  • Blood count and metabolic changes: Decreased hemoglobin, neutrophils, platelets, and calcium have been reported; periodic monitoring is recommended.

Documentation & Availability

What documents are required to import Inluriyo to India?

Inluriyo (imlunestrant) tablets may be imported in the patient's name only, by patients or government hospitals, in line with India's import regulations for unapproved medicines. The following documentation is required:

  • A valid prescription from a qualified doctor
  • The patient's diagnostic reports, including ESR1 mutation testing where applicable
  • Patient ID proof (issued by the Government of India)

How is the order confirmed?

The order is confirmed only after receipt and verification of a valid prescription from the doctor and, if applicable, an import permit.

Is Inluriyo available in India?

Inluriyo (imlunestrant tablets) is a prescription medicine that legally requires a doctor's prescription to be dispensed. As of current publicly available information, Inluriyo is not commercially marketed in India.

However, patients in India can legally access Inluriyo through the Named Patient Program (NPP) — an import provision that allows a medicine not yet registered in India to be imported in the name of a specific patient for their personal treatment, under a valid prescription.

Inluriyo received US FDA approval on 25 September 2025, ensuring full transparency throughout the process.

Inluriyo can be made available to patients, doctors, and hospitals across major cities in India, including Gurgaon, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Hyderabad, Mysore, Kerala, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Jaipur, Udaipur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Chandigarh, Mohali, Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Kochi, Trivandrum, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Kannur, Mangalore, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Ranchi, Raipur, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Goa, Jammu, Srinagar, Dehradun, Bhopal, Indore, Ludhiana, Amritsar, and others — and can facilitate delivery to the patient's treating hospital. Orders are confirmed only after receipt of a valid doctor's prescription and an import permit, where applicable.

NPP also facilitates access to other targeted therapies for ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer, including Orserdu (elacestrant), Veppanu (vepdegestrant), and Trodelvy (sacituzumab govitecan), for patients whose treating oncologist considers these options relevant to their case.
