What Is Tepezza Used For?

Tepezza Warnings and Precautions

  • Infusion reactions: Can occur during or within 1.5 hours after infusion, including high blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, flushing, and difficulty breathing.
  • Hyperglycemia: Blood glucose should be assessed before each infusion and monitored throughout treatment, especially in patients with pre-existing diabetes.
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD): Tepezza may cause new-onset IBD or worsen existing IBD; patients should be monitored, and treatment discontinued if IBD exacerbation is suspected.
  • Hearing impairment: Hearing loss or other hearing changes have been reported, sometimes persisting after treatment; hearing should be assessed before and during treatment.
  • Embryo-fetal toxicity: Tepezza can cause fetal harm. Effective contraception is recommended during treatment and for a period after the last dose.
